Sweltering heat will continue throughout the day. In areas where heat wave warnings are in effect across the country, the perceived temperature is expected to rise above 33°C (91°F).

However, the heat will briefly subside when the rain falls. As rain clouds from Typhoon Babi, which has weakened into a tropical depression, approach the country, rain will begin in the Seoul metropolitan area and South Chungcheong Province this morning, expanding to the rest of the central region by the afternoon.
