The most anticipated Korean film of 2026, "HOPE," is drawing attention from Korea's leading directors.
"HOPE" will host a special relay GV (Guest Visit) starting July 14 (Tue), one day before its release, to share diverse stories about the film.
On July 14 (Tue), a GV featuring director Na Hong-jin and director Lee Chang-dong will be held at Lotte Cinema World Tower following the 6:25 PM screening. This GV will offer a meaningful time for the two directors to share a wide range of stories centered on "HOPE," with Na Hong-jin, who has built a reputation for genre-based imagination and overwhelming cinematic experiences, and Lee Chang-dong, who has showcased a body of work that deeply explores humanity and society.
On the release date of July 15 (Wed), a GV with director Na Hong-jin and director Bong Joon-ho will be held at Megabox COEX after the 6:45 PM screening. Through the meeting of these two directors who have established their own unique cinematic worlds, the audience will be able to encounter "HOPE" from a broader perspective.
On July 16 (Thu), a GV with director Na Hong-jin and director Jang Jae-hyun will take place at Megabox COEX after the 6:45 PM screening. The two directors, who have expanded new horizons for Korean genre films, are expected to provide a time for a richer experience of the work through in-depth discussions about "HOPE."
All three directors are representative figures of the Korean film industry. These GV sessions are expected to be meaningful occasions that confirm their interest in the film "HOPE" and their support for their colleague, director Na Hong-jin.
"HOPE" is a story that begins when 'Beom-seok,' a police station chief in the DMZ, hears news of a tiger sighting from local youth and faces an unbelievable reality as the entire village goes on high alert. The film opens on July 15.
