The couple YouTuber duo Yongsuk Couple, who amassed 100,000 subscribers, has officially ended their marriage.
Yongsuk recently launched a new YouTube channel titled 'Yussi's Vlog' and shared the news in her first video, stating, "Over the past eight months, I lost my father, and in less than three months after that, I also concluded my long marriage."
She continued, "Because we were a couple YouTuber channel, I had to let go of my work, which was the biggest part of my life. I realized I couldn't just stay at home. I booked a flight and headed to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, without a plan. As soon as I arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, I felt like I could breathe again. It felt like I was finding myself. I want to start over, even if it is on my own. I plan to document the process of a woman in her mid-30s slowly getting back on her feet."
She also calmly shared her feelings following the divorce. "I thought I would feel burdened by having to take responsibility for everything on my own, but it is actually better than I thought. It feels lighter. I am confident in my ability to make a living," she said with a smile.
Regarding her ex-husband, she expressed her support, saying, "I cannot go into detail, but we have parted ways on good terms, wishing the best for each other. I truly want him to succeed because he is someone I grew up with."
Previously, the Yongsuk Couple announced the closure of their original channel last month, stating, "There have been many changes over the past period, and after much deliberation, we have decided to end this channel here." At the time, they did not disclose specific reasons, saying, "We cannot share the personal details, but we are grateful to those who have been with us."
The Yongsuk Couple gained popularity for their travel-focused content. The two published an essay titled 'Things that Make Life Free,' which covered their working holiday experiences, world backpacking trips, and their journey as content creators. They also engaged in charitable activities, including donations through volunteer organizations.
