A sinkhole measuring 30 centimeters in diameter and 3.5 meters in depth occurred on an eight-lane road near Hwaseo Station (Subway Line 1) in Paldal-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, at around 1:00 p.m. yesterday (June 24).

There were no casualties or vehicle damage reported as a result of the sinkhole.

Police have cordoned off one lane of the four-lane road heading toward Suwon Station to implement safety measures.

A police official stated, "The cause of the sinkhole has not yet been determined," adding, "We plan to resume traffic flow as soon as the restoration work is completed."
