The National, a prominent English-language media outlet in the Middle East, reported that President Macron carefully curated the music to match each leader's country, culture, and image. According to the report, BTS's "Into the Sun" was chosen for South Korean President Lee Jae-myung. Meanwhile, Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road" was selected for U.S. President Donald Trump, the James Bond 007 theme song "The World Is Not Enough" for U.K. Prime Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Celine Dion's "Je lui dirai" for Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

"Into the Sun" is a track from BTS's studio album 'ARIRANG', with V heavily involved as the main lyricist and composer. V reportedly completed the song based on a melody that came to him on his way home after a workout. Regarding the track, he previously shared, "Even though I wrote it, I felt I had to objectively judge whether it fit the album." However, it was ultimately included thanks to the strong recommendations of his fellow members.

Following the release of 'ARIRANG', "Into the Sun" received high praise from major international media outlets. The New York Times described it as a "hypnotic and soothing track," while Rolling Stone praised it, stating, "The falsetto harmonies and shimmering tempo showcase BTS's limitless potential." The BBC also highlighted the song as "an experimental yet intriguing track that adds a mysterious atmosphere through digital effects."
