The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced today (June 17) that it will host the '2026 Land, Infrastructure and Transport Technology Fair' at COEX in Seoul from June 24 to 26, where visitors can experience future technologies such as autonomous driving, aerospace, smart construction, and AI cities firsthand.

Marking its 15th anniversary, this year's fair is themed 'Move for Tomorrow.'

The event is designed as a premier technology exhibition where the public can see and experience future technologies, showcasing both outstanding research achievements in the land, infrastructure, and transport sectors and innovative private-sector technologies.

A total of 81 organizations will participate in this year's event, operating five themed zones—Mobility, Smart Construction, AI City, Aerospace, and Innovative Companies—along with a main theme pavilion.

Across 409 booths, the fair will feature future technologies including autonomous driving, construction robots, energy-efficient housing, satellites and drones, and innovative technologies from 28 startups.

In particular, this year's fair focuses on four key directions: expanding experiential exhibitions, fostering public engagement and participation, linking corporate growth with investment, and strengthening technological exchange.

The number of independent booths for leading domestic companies, such as Hyundai Motor Group, Korean Air, and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), has been doubled from last year to 33, allowing visitors to experience future technologies up close.

Participatory programs will also be offered, including master lectures on robotics and AI featuring domestic science influencers and experts, as well as docent-led tours.

Furthermore, the ministry plans to support business commercialization and market entry by hosting investment pitch sessions connecting startups and small-to-medium enterprises with private investors such as accelerators (AC) and venture capitalists (VC), as well as holding regulatory sandbox information sessions.

The event will also expand the foundation for cooperation with overseas research institutions and companies through a bilateral cooperation program between South Korea and Spain and a global R&D forum.

Networking among industry, academia, research, and government will be strengthened through sector-specific performance sharing sessions to exchange the latest technology trends and research outcomes.

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-duck stated, "Technology is only truly complete when it changes the lives of the people, not when it remains in the laboratory." He added, "We will strive to create an innovation ecosystem where excellent technologies move from research and development to market entry, allowing the public to feel the changes."
