SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated' (written by Nam Dae-jung, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun), which has confirmed its premiere for June 26, released a character poster on June 12 capturing the overwhelming charisma and passionate fatherly love of the protagonist, So Ji-sub, signaling the start of an intense pursuit.
The drama 'Agent Kim Reactivated' is a revenge action thriller about the 'most ordinary' father in the world who becomes the 'most dangerous' man to rescue his only daughter. Based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, the series has garnered high expectations since its production stage.
The newly released character poster captivates viewers with a sharp close-up of So Ji-sub, who plays Manager Kim—a small savings bank employee and former special operations agent. Dressed in a neat suit and wearing glasses, the striking caption "Don't mess with the middle-aged man wearing glasses" hints at his hidden action instincts. In particular, the red blood splatters on his face and clothing, combined with his grief-stricken expression, reveal his solemn determination to transform into a warrior on the battlefield to find his daughter, promising a thrilling catharsis.
With only two weeks left until its premiere, 'Agent Kim Reactivated' is already proving its immense buzz. In the survey for the first week of June released by FunDex, the official platform of Good Data Corporation, the drama entered at No. 5 in the TV Drama News category and No. 7 in the overall buzzworthy category, proving the high interest of prospective viewers.
The production team also expressed confidence in the cast and crew. The script is written by Nam Dae-jung, the writer of the film 'Love Reset' (30 Days), and directed by Lee Seung-young, who proved his delicate directing skills through dramas like 'Voice 2' and 'Wonderful World', alongside rookie director Lee So-eun, promising a solid synergy.
