Fans' Protest Wakes Up Man Utd for Thrilling Comeback Win

Manchester United, which has recently struggled in the UEFA Champions League, pulled off a thrilling comeback victory.

After conceding two early goals, angry home fans staged a protest by throwing tennis balls onto the pitch, prompting the team to score three unanswered goals and turn the match around.

Mired in a slump of three draws and six losses over their last nine matches, United fell behind against AS Roma after giving up two goals in just the first 17 minutes.

In the 20th minute of the first half, furious home fans threw tennis balls to demand the resignation of the club's management, causing a temporary suspension of the match.

Perhaps that protest served as a serious wake-up call.

Fernandes scored a goal to narrow the deficit in the 13th minute of the second half, and Cunha equalized in the 38th minute to level the score. Just three minutes later, Cunha blasted a powerful shot into the back of Roma's net, celebrating a thrilling 3–2 comeback victory passionately with the fans.

Meanwhile, moments of silence were held across European stadiums yesterday after Jesus Demiguel, who collided with an opposing goalkeeper during a Spanish Segunda División match, passed away.
