This is a fishing site in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, where bungalows are lined up around a reservoir.

Third-grader A left the bungalow where he was playing with friends alone at 10:30 PM last night, saying, "I'm going to go to my dad to sleep now."

At around 11:50 PM, emergency services received a report that a child was missing, prompting fire authorities to deploy underwater drones and divers for a search. About three and a half hours later, the child was found dead.

A police line has been set up in front of the accident scene, and access is completely restricted.

The child was found at a depth of 1.7 meters and was not wearing a life jacket.

At around 6:22 AM, a passenger was injured on a flight heading from Hong Kong to Jeju due to an auxiliary battery overheating.

Smoke began to emit from an auxiliary battery inside a bag, and a flight attendant immediately placed the battery into specialized equipment for responding to cabin battery fires, preventing it from spreading into a full fire.

The owner of the battery, a Chinese national in their 50s, sustained burns on a finger and received first aid after arriving at Jeju International Airport.
