Both slopes across the national highway have turned in vibrant autumn shades.

The foliage has colored brilliantly, looking as if it were embroidered around the bizarre rocks.

Starting from Daecheongbong Peak late last month, the autumn foliage on Mt. Seorak has now descended to the area around Yongso Waterfall, 500 meters above sea level.

Harmonizing with the powerful waterfall, the autumn leaves emit a reddish glow, catching the steps of visitors.

Autumn foliage has also arrived around Baekdamsa Temple in Inner Seorak.

Against the backdrop of clear flowing water and numerous stone towers piled up by visitors, the autumn colors look even more vivid.

Starting this year, the shuttle bus road and the walking trail on the access route to Baekdaemok Valley have been separated, allowing for safer visits.

[Lee Jong-su / Pungnap-dong, Seoul: The foliage on Mt. Seorak is so gorgeous, and the valley is so beautiful that it really feels like being somewhere in China, like a small Zhangjiajie. It is so wonderful.]

The autumn foliage on Mt. Odae, which began early this month, is also in full peak, coloring areas between 900 and 700 meters above sea level.

Flower beds of autumn leaves unfold along every ridge, and red and yellow foliage decorates the autumn scenery around the clear-flowing valleys.

Visitors who came to the autumn mountains seeking the foliage feel rewarded for their exhausting hike by the colorful leaves.

[Kim Hye-kyung & Ahn Ok-ja / Sanggye-dong, Seoul: It is beautiful. We were a little worried on the way here, wondering if the leaves hadn't turned enough yet, but seeing it in person, it is so fantastic and wonderful.]

The autumn foliage is heading south day by day, with first foliage recorded on October 14 for Bukhansan, Jirisan, and Hallasan, and on October 15 for Woraksan.
