"Bitten on 14 Places Including Legs and Hands"…Attacked by Badger Leaping Out of Bushes

A woman in her 70s taking a walk at a civic park in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, was suddenly attacked by a badger.

She suffered bites on 14 parts of her body, including her legs and hands, requiring general anesthesia surgery and three weeks of inpatient treatment.

Following the incident, Jecheon City has set out to capture the badger, but the exact population of badgers inhabiting the surrounding area remains unknown.
