A single ballet performance seen by chance during his second year of high school changed this man's life. The ballet he saw was "Romeo and Juliet", choreographed by genius choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot. Although he started at a late age, he devoted himself to practice and entered the Korea National University of Arts Dance School, and a few years later, joined the very ballet company led by Director Maillot. This week's guest on Curtain Call is Ahn Jae-yong, principal dancer of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo.

What was the secret of Ahn Jae-yong, a successful fan who started ballet inspired by Maillot's choreography and became a principal dancer of the world-class ballet company led by Maillot in just a few years? He has earned the deep trust of Director Maillot, having been promoted to principal dancer at lightning speed in his second season after joining the company. We explore the representative works of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo that reinterpret classics in a modern way, such as "Swan Lake", "Cinderella", and "Romeo and Juliet", which were showcased in their recent tour to Korea, as well as Director Maillot's artistic world.
