Following the controversy over deliberate shoulder-bumping, known as "butsukari," which has become a social issue in Japan, a new "tripping villain" who intentionally trips pedestrians has emerged, sparking widespread public outrage.

Particularly, concerns are mounting as the act took place near the edge of a station platform, noting that it could have easily led to a major safety accident.
