The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it will conduct inspections of safety and spectator amenities at professional baseball stadiums in preparation for the summer heatwave.

Second Vice Minister Kim Dae-hyun is scheduled to visit Daejeon Hanwha Life Eagles Park today (July 7) in the afternoon, where a KBO League game between the Hanwha Eagles and the NC Dinos is set to take place. He will inspect the viewing environment alongside Hanwha Eagles CEO Park Jong-tae, Korea Sports Safety Foundation Chairman Park Jang-soon, Dong-A Otsuka CEO Park Chul-ho, and Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) Secretary General Park Geun-chan.

The Ministry stated, "We plan to focus our inspections on the readiness of spectator amenities for heatwave preparedness, the operation of booths for heat-related illness prevention campaigns, and the status of facilities for spectators with disabilities."

In addition, the Ministry is conducting a public campaign to prevent heat-related illnesses in cooperation with the Korea Sports Safety Foundation and Dong-A Otsuka.
