Wall Street, which had surged sharply, plunged just a day later. Amid growing concerns that the Democratic Party will strengthen regulations on the artificial intelligence industry, the Nasdaq index dropped by more than 5%, and semiconductor stocks in particular plummeted for two consecutive sessions.

Wall Street, which had rejoiced over the Democratic Party's landslide victory, froze over in just one day.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq, led by semiconductors and big tech, plummeted by nearly 5%.
Compared to the all-time high recorded in early last month (October), it has dropped by more than 10% within a month.
The S&P 500 fell by around 4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by about 3%.
This essentially wiped out all the gains made the day after the midterm elections.
The Nasdaq and S&P 500 recorded their largest drops since April of last year, when President Trump announced his tariff policies.
Selling pressure was heavily concentrated on semiconductor stocks.
Nvidia fell by more than 8%, and SanDisk, which manufactures memory semiconductors for AI data centers, plummeted by nearly 20%.
In addition, Micron fell by more than 10%, causing the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, which tracks major chipmaker stocks, to briefly crash by 11% during intraday trading.
Analysts suggest that investor sentiment has rapidly contracted due to projections that the Democratic Party, which has taken control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, will begin earnest regulations on data centers.
Concerns are growing that if brakes are put on data center construction, the demand for AI semiconductors could also weaken.
[Jon Ossoff / U.S. Senator from Georgia (Democrat): No data center should be built secretly in any part of Georgia against the wishes of the residents.]
With Wall Street plunging overnight, the domestic stock market is expected to face considerable impact today, centered around semiconductor stocks.
