U.S. President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News in a series of social media posts on November 3 (local time) while watching its midterm election coverage.
Writing on Truth Social that evening, Trump complained, "Watching election coverage on Fox News and I can't stand the voice of Jessica Tarlov. She's as dumb as a rock and her voice is grating."
Tarlov is a liberal co-host on Fox News who frequently presents Democratic arguments and strategies on the network.
Trump followed up with consecutive posts criticizing the network, writing, "Fox News polls are always the worst" and "Fox News ratings are down 27%. It's because they spend way too much time covering dumb Democrats who are obsessed with Trump."
He added, "It's no wonder Fox News ratings are crashing, and they will go down even further," claiming, "It's not because of me, it's because they are against me. This happened before and Fox almost went out of business, and now it's happening all over again."
Earlier that morning, Trump had encouraged Republican voters to turn out in a phone interview with Fox News.
While utilizing Fox News as a tool to rally his supporters, he fiercely attacks the network whenever it broadcasts coverage deemed favorable to Democrats.
