Nineteen-year-old supernova Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) has surpassed Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) to stand tall as the player with the most goals by a teenager in UEFA Champions League (UCL) history.
Yamal scored the opening goal just seven minutes into the first half of the 2026-2027 UCL league phase Matchday 4 home match against Aston Villa (England), held at the Spotify Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain, on November 4.
Following Yamal's goal, Spanish powerhouse Barcelona secured a 3-0 clean sweep victory, propelled by Raphinha's multi-goal performance in the second half, bringing their record to 3 wins and 1 draw (9 points).
Starting as Barcelona's right winger, Yamal did not miss the decisive opportunity that came his way just seven minutes into the match.
After intercepting a risky attempt by Aston Villa's Gomez to make a non-stop pass to a teammate on the right side of the penalty area, Yamal calmly fired a left-footed shot to shake the back of the net.
With this goal, Yamal reached 14 goals in 37 appearances on the UCL stage.
This is a new record that surpasses Mbappe's previous record for the most goals by a teenager in UCL history (13 goals).
Yamal is already a record-making machine in the UCL.
He holds records including the youngest starting appearance in UCL main draw history (16 years and 83 days), and also leaves his mark as the player who scored the most goals before turning 18 (5 goals) and 19 (11 goals).
However, the record for the youngest appearance in the UCL knockout stage, which Yamal previously held (16 years and 223 days), was reset in April by Arsenal's (England) young gun Max Dowman (16 years and 97 days).
