Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) crushed Spain's Villarreal, setting a new record for the fastest four goals in UEFA Champions League (UCL) history.
PSG defeated Villarreal 6-0 in the away match of the 2026-2027 UCL league phase Matchday 4 held at El Madrigal in Villarreal, Spain, on November 4.
PSG shook the net in quick succession, starting with Joao Neves' opening goal in the 9th minute of the first half, followed by Desire Doue in the 12th minute, Senny Mayulu in the 13th minute, and Fabian Ruiz in the 17th minute.
As opponent Villarreal made consecutive mistakes, such as losing possession in their own half, PSG surged to a 4-0 lead just 17 minutes into the match.
According to UEFA, this is the fastest a team has ever scored four goals in the UCL.
The previous record was 20 minutes, set by Real Madrid (Spain) when they won 6-2 in a home match against Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) in 2011.
PSG continued their goal fest in the second half.
Ruiz scored his second goal in the 5th minute of the second half to secure a multi-goal game, and 17-year-old prospect David Boly scored the쐐기 goal in the 33rd minute of the second half.
Despite the setback of key players such as Ousmane Dembele, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes (all due to thigh injuries), and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (ruptured anterior cruciate ligament) failing to accompany the team on this away trip due to injuries, PSG achieved a record-breaking victory, demonstrating the prowess of the defending champion.
England's Premier League side Manchester United earned a 3-2 comeback victory over AS Roma (Italy) at their home ground, Old Trafford, in Manchester, England.
Conceding two goals within 17 minutes of kickoff, United pulled off a thrilling victory combining Bruno Fernandes' penalty kick goal in the 13th minute of the second half and Matheus Cunha's multi-goal performance.
Cunha, who trapped a cross sent from the left by Fernandes in the 38th minute of the second half and finished with his right foot to equalize, scored the comeback goal just three minutes later with a powerful right-footed shot from the right corner.
After scoring this goal, Cunha took off his jersey and ran to hug the fans in the stands, receiving a yellow card, and was subsequently sent off after receiving his second yellow card for a rough tackle in stoppage time of the second half.
Manchester United, who has been struggling with 1 win, 4 draws, and 4 losses in the Premier League (EPL) this season, found an opportunity to rebound.
Above all, it is a precious victory for manager Michael Carrick, who had been suffering from rumors about his potential dismissal.
FC Barcelona (Spain) defeated Aston Villa (England) 3-0 at home.
Taking the lead with Lamine Yamal's opening goal in the 7th minute of the first half, Barcelona secured a complete victory thanks to Raphinha, who scored multiple goals in the second half.
Prior to the UCL match that day, the UCL anthem was not played as a tribute to Tenerife forward Jesus de Miguel, who died following a collision with a goalkeeper during a Spanish Segunda Division match.
Raphinha said, "I don't want to talk about football today. I want to send a message to Jesus' family. Rest in peace," adding, "It is so hard because it can happen to anyone."
In other matches, Galatasaray (Turkey) defeated Stuttgart (Germany) 2-0 at home, and Sporting (Portugal) subdued Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine) 1-0 away.
