The number of cruise ships visiting Incheon next year is projected to reach a post-pandemic high.
According to the Incheon Metropolitan Government and the Incheon Port Authority today (Nov. 3), 113 cruise ship calls are scheduled to dock at Incheon Port by the end of this year, a nearly 3.5-fold increase from 32 calls last year.
An even larger number, 132 cruise ship calls, are scheduled to visit next year.
Cruise ship calls in Incheon recorded 95 in 2013, 92 in 2014, 53 in 2015, and 62 in 2016. However, after operations were completely suspended due to COVID-19 from 2020 to 2022, they remained low at 12 calls in 2023, 15 calls in 2024, and 32 calls last year.
The city plans to focus on discovering Incheon's unique tourism resources and developing cruise tourism products next year as well.
It plans to discover local restaurants, shopping courses, and tourist attractions with regional charm to create Incheon-specific themed products and tour courses.
