Manager Park Hang-seo of Kanchanaburi FC in Thailand's Thai League 2 erupted in anger and engaged in a fierce verbal clash following racist taunts from an opposing team's spectator.
The incident occurred as Park was leaving the pitch after a 2–2 away draw against Pattaya United yesterday, when he clashed with an opposing fan in the stands.
Footage shared on social media shows a spectator, presumed to be a white foreigner, repeatedly shouting profanities and using the term "Kimchi man" toward Manager Park.
Initially, Park responded by putting his finger to his lips in a gesture for silence, but unable to contain his anger amid the persistent provocation, he made a fist-swinging motion and challenged the spectator to come down from the stands to face him, bringing the two to the brink of a physical confrontation.
As the situation turned volatile, club officials and players intervened to restrain the agitated manager and led him to the locker room, avoiding a physical altercation.
According to local media, the spectator not only targeted Manager Park but also hurled insulting remarks mocking the height of the team's Madagascar-born midfielder, John Baggio.
As the controversy grew, Kanchanaburi FC released an official statement strongly condemning the spectator's racist behavior, declaring, "Everyone deserves to be respected regardless of their origin or skin color."
Previously, in September, Manager Park leveled sharp criticism amid a series of refereeing controversies in the Thai second tier, stating, "Now I understand why Thai football frequently loses to Vietnam."
