Lee Kang-in (25), who plays for the Spanish professional football club Atletico Madrid, started and contributed to his team's seventh consecutive victory.
Lee started as a right winger in a 4-4-2 formation and played for 67 minutes in the 11th round La Liga away match against Levante held today (November 1) at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia in Valencia, Spain.
Securing a 2-0 clean-sheet victory, Atletico extended its unstoppable winning streak to seven matches, accumulating 28 points (9 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss) to surpass FC Barcelona and climb to the top of the table.
Lee has now appeared in 13 of Atletico's 14 official matches this season.
In La Liga, he has featured in all 11 matches (9 as a starter), recording 2 goals and 1 assist.
Today, Lee registered two shots but failed to add an attacking point.
In the 25th minute of the first half, his left-footed shot from outside the penalty box was blocked by a defender, and in the 10th minute of the second half, he was denied by bad luck when his bold long-range left-footed shot struck the goalpost.
According to the football statistics site FotMob, Lee successfully completed 31 out of 34 passes for a 91 percent accuracy rate, and accurately delivered all three of his attempted long passes to teammates.
However, he left room for improvement in dribble success (1 out of 6 attempts, 17 percent) and ground duels (2 out of 12 attempts, 17 percent), receiving a match rating of 6.4.
Atletico took the lead in the 32nd minute of the first half when Alejandro Grimaldo unleashed a left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area that flew into the upper left corner of the net.
Then, in the 17th minute of the second half, Giuliano Simeone scored an additional goal with his left foot from the center of the penalty area to seal the victory.
Lee is scheduled to face FC Bayern Munich (Germany), featuring national team defender Kim Min-jae, in the 4th round of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) on November 4.
