Seoul Metro announced that Jangam Station on Subway Line 7 will resume operations starting from the first train on October 31 after a suspension of about a month.

The operation of the temporary station at Jangam Station is due to the Dobongsan-Okjeong metropolitan railway construction project being promoted by Gyeonggi Province. During the suspension period, work was carried out to install the temporary station and platform and connect them to the existing tracks.

Afterwards, through joint inspections by Seoul Metro and Gyeonggi Province, verification by external professional institutions, and train test runs, the safety and operational adequacy of the railway facilities were confirmed.

Having received approval for the modification of the railway safety management system for the operation of the temporary station from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on October 28, all administrative procedures necessary for the resumption of operations have been completed.

Jeong Won-gyu, head of Seoul Metro's Strategic Business Headquarters, stated, "Even after the resumption of operations, we will ensure thorough safety management of the temporary station and work closely with Gyeonggi Province to do our best so that citizens can use it with peace of mind," adding, "We will also closely cooperate with the project implementer to ensure that the Dobongsan-Okjeong metropolitan railway construction project is carried out without a hitch."
