Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed a schedule for a trilateral meeting involving the United States, Russia, and Ukraine to discuss a peace plan.
Speaking at a joint press conference after meeting with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten in The Hague on the 28th (local time), President Zelenskyy said, "This meeting should be held by the end of next month, and if possible, between November 6 and 10."
While both Russia and Ukraine have heavily discussed Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates as a potential venue, President Zelenskyy noted that the location could change depending on the situation in the Middle East.
President Zelenskyy added, "We are waiting for the US side and think they will provide all answers after the elections," anticipating that the US would finalize the meeting date around November 4, the day after the midterm elections.
However, Russia has not proposed a specific date and maintains that nothing has been finalized.
Yuri Ushakov, Aide to the Russian President for Foreign Policy, said in a broadcast interview, "(President Zelenskyy) mentioned mid-November, around November 10, but exact dates have not been finalized yet."
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov also responded regarding the schedule for resuming the trilateral talks, saying, "We will let you know once the dates are set."
