▲ Babec selected as FC Seoul Player of the Month for September
FC Seoul midfielder Babec, who plays a central role for the K League 1 champions, has been chosen by fans as the club's best player for September.
The club announced that Babec received 31 percent of the votes in a fan poll, beating out Ross, Moon Seon-min, and Klimala to win the HS Hyosung The Class Player of the Month award.
Babec played the full 90 minutes in all matches throughout September, anchoring the team's midfield.
During this period, one out of every five passes attempted by Seoul in the central area came from Babec's feet.
He recorded a 92.4 percent success rate on long passes directed into the attacking third and a 91.6 percent interception success rate.
"I want to thank the Suroshin fans who always send unwavering support," Babec said upon receiving the award. "I hope we can share the joy together at the stadium after the season ends."
As the Player of the Month, Babec received a trophy and a voucher for a GLE 450 4M Coupe from HS Hyosung The Class Guri showroom, a Mercedes-Benz partner sponsored by Seoul.
Seoul secured its first league title in 10 years regardless of the final round results after drawing with Gangwon FC on October 24.
