Typhoon Champi is currently located in the waters south-southwest of Seogwipo.

It is expected to turn toward Kagoshima before weakening into a tropical depression.

Due to its indirect influence, rain is currently falling mainly in the southern regions and Jeju.

A heavy rain advisory has been issued for the mountainous areas of Jeju, and high waves are expected across all seas.

A typhoon warning is in effect for the far southern seas off Jeju.

Vessels navigating or operating in these waters need to exercise special caution.

The rain will mostly stop between early morning and the morning of tomorrow, Monday, October 26.

Looking at the expected precipitation, 5 to 20 mm of rain is forecasted for the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon and inland Gyeongbuk; 5 to 30 mm for the eastern coast of Gyeongbuk and inland Gyeongnam; 10 to up to 50 mm along the coast of Gyeongnam; and 5 to 40 mm in the Jeonnam region.

Heavy downpours of over 120 mm are expected in the mountainous areas of Jeju, while 30 to up to 80 mm of rain is forecasted for other parts of Jeju.

Skies in other central regions will also be cloudy, with strong winds blowing nationwide starting tonight.

Let's take a look at today's daytime temperatures.
