ENHYPEN, the group that has actively raised awareness about the importance of blood donation, has met with World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

According to their agency, BELIFT LAB, on October 23, the members of ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki) met with Director-General Tedros at the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on October 22 to share the achievements of their global blood donation campaign and discuss future activities. Officials from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korean Red Cross Blood Services also attended the meeting.

Director-General Tedros highlighted the reality that many patients in need of transfusions fail to receive a timely supply of safe blood, and he highly praised the members for stepping forward to donate blood themselves. He also noted that ENHYPEN's global blood donation pledge has inspired group blood donations from fans around the world.

He stated, "I am proud of all the ENHYPEN members for their dedication in cooperating with the WHO to encourage blood donation and save lives." He added, "The past campaign was a massive success, reaching millions of people. ENHYPEN and their fandom, ENGENE, have a true power to make an impact on the world. I am also a fan of yours." He also expressed expectations that ENHYPEN could play a role in raising youth interest in various health issues.

ENHYPEN expressed, "We started this campaign hoping that those who support us would join in, and we are grateful that ENGENEs all around the world have participated. We want to continue creating meaningful changes alongside our fans."

ENHYPEN's blood donation campaign kicked off last January alongside the release of their 7th mini-album, "THE SIN : VANISH." Inspired by the "vampire" concept, which is a core element of the group's narrative, the campaign was conducted in partnership with the Korean Red Cross. It featured blood donation buses deployed at major gathering spots for fans and online events held for participants nationwide. According to the agency, a total of 7,730 people participated in the online and offline blood donations from January 16 to 25, among whom 1,031 were first-time donors—marking an approximately 19-fold increase compared to the period prior to the campaign. The campaign later expanded to Japan and Singapore, bringing the cumulative number of participants to approximately 10,000.

In June, ENHYPEN joined hands with the WHO to release content promoting the importance of securing a safe blood supply for "World Blood Donor Day 2026." The members also participated in blood donation themselves.
