Messages from masters arrived for master Hang-jun.
On the SBS program "Master Hang-jun" broadcast on October 15, Director Hang-jun's next-project venture officially kicked off.
During the broadcast, congratulatory messages from other esteemed masters celebrating the "Master Hang-jun" project caught viewers' attention.
Director Bong Joon-ho remarked, "He is someone who truly deserves to be called a master," while Director Park Chan-wook said, "I am envious. How can someone be so smart?"
Director Park went on to say, "I hope he continues to make films like
The King's Warden
," adding jokingly, "Comedy is my territory, so I hope he stays away from it."
Meanwhile, Director Bong spoke about Hang-jun, who is the same age as him, sharing, "Even when we talk on the phone, he says, 'Director Bong, it's Master Hang-jun.' We aren't quite at the stage of calling each other comfortably by our first names yet, but that day will come soon. I love you."
Upon receiving the congratulatory messages from the two masters, Director Hang-jun joked, "I've been close with Bong the Bong and Cannes Park for a very long time. We've been friends since way back," and playfully added, "Cannes Park keeps asking me to lend him money, and Bong the Bong keeps calling to ask what he should do for his next project," drawing laughter from everyone.
