Director Hang-jun, who entered the ranks of directors with 10 million moviegoers with his film The King's Warden, has launched a new SBS Saturday talk show bearing his own name, The Great Hang-jun.
The Great Hang-jun is a talk show format where Director Hang conducts auditions with stars to find actors to cast in his upcoming movie.
Broadcaster Song Eun-i, a close friend of Director Hang, joins as the head of the production company, while writer Kim Poong participates as an assistant director.
In the premiere broadcast yesterday (October 16), actors Yoo Jae-myung and Lee Sunbin appeared to showcase their new charms.
When asked at a press conference if he felt any pressure about having a variety show named after him, Director Hang answered that he felt no pressure and was actually more comfortable.
He added that while viewership ratings are important, it would be enough if viewers simply enjoy watching the show.
Producer Lee Dong-won, who directed The Great Hang-jun, stated that viewers will be able to feel Director Hang-jun's aura not as a variety show MC, but as a genuine film director.
