A driver in their 30s, who went missing after their compact car plunged into a reservoir in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, has been found dead.
Police and fire authorities stated that they rescued A, in their 30s, from a reservoir in Jeongchon-myeon, Jinju, at around 10:24 AM today (October 15), but they were already deceased.
Earlier, at around 1:19 AM today, police received a report that a compact car had fallen into the reservoir.
Police and fire authorities had continuously searched around the submerged compact car to find the missing driver, A.
Police reported that there are no apparent signs of foul play, and they are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, believing that A drove the compact car near the reservoir and plunged into the water in a single-vehicle accident.
