Actor Park Haseon is parting ways with SBS Power FM's "Park Haseon's Cinetown," a show she has led with deep affection for six years.
Park will step down from "Park Haseon's Cinetown" following her final broadcast on November 1. Currently performing on stage in the play "The Secret of Flowers", she decided to step down after thorough discussions with the production team in order to focus more on her primary profession as an actor, amid ongoing filming for multiple upcoming projects.
Since taking her first steps as the host of "Cinetown" on November 2, 2020, Park has connected with listeners through her stable hosting and candid communication, earning the nickname "Candy DJ". In particular, she has received great love from listeners for carefully listening to guests' stories and calmly empathizing with them.
Park has recently appeared in a string of theater productions, following "Our Little Sister" and "Hongdo" with her current run in "The Secret of Flowers". "The Secret of Flowers" is a whimsical comedy about housewives who launch an extraordinary scheme to claim a massive insurance payout following their husbands' mysterious accident. Playing the role of Monica, a romantic who once dreamed of becoming an actor, Park adds vibrancy to the production with her bubbly, lovely charm and sly, skillful performance.
She also continues to pursue a broad spectrum of acting in television dramas. In tvN's "Filing for Love," which concluded this past May, she made a special appearance as the central figure of the audit team's first case, leaving a powerful impression with just a single episode. She has also expanded her range into short-form dramas, including "Love That's Good for Nothing" and "Psychopath Yeo Soon-jung," which culminated in winning the Best Actress in a Web Drama award at the "2025 Seoulcon APAN Star Awards".
In variety entertainment, she continues to meet viewers regularly. On programs such as "Divorce Camp," "Hidden Eye," and more, she adds fun to each show with her sharp powers of observation and witty conversation.
The final broadcast of "Park Haseon's Cinetown" will air on SBS Power FM at 11 a.m. on November 1.
