Yesterday afternoon, a man in his 50s went on a stabbing rampage at a large multi-use shopping complex in Incheon, leaving one victim unconscious and eight others injured. Police have found additional blunt weapons in the suspect's bag and are focusing on the possibility of a premeditated crime.

People inside the building flee in panic after witnessing something, and a store employee quickly rushes inside and closes the door.
A short while later, a man wearing a hat walks down the hallway.
He wanders around the restaurant area holding weapons in both hands.
A man in his 50s, surnamed Choi, wielded weapons against visitors inside a large multi-use shopping complex in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon.

The restaurant area where the incident took place has been cordoned off with crime scene tape, and businesses have suspended operations.
Nine visitors inside the complex were stabbed by weapons wielded by Choi and transported to hospitals.
Among them, a woman in her 20s was transported in cardiac arrest. Although her pulse was restored following emergency surgery, she has reportedly not yet regained consciousness.
Investigations showed that Choi moved from the second basement level to the third floor of the shopping complex via escalators while wielding the weapons.

Police stated that Choi, who attacked visitors with weapons for unconfirmed reasons, was subdued by several citizens following a physical struggle.
Concerned about the possibility of multiple casualties, the fire authorities responding to the related emergency calls set up a triage medical station on the first floor of the shopping complex.
Police arrested Choi on charges of attempted murder and plan to apply for an arrest warrant after investigating the specific motive for the crime.
