Following a spell of turbulent autumn rain, the weather is rapidly turning chilly.
Today (October 13), daytime temperatures in Seoul and Daejeon lingered around 22°C (72°F), dropping by about 8 to 9 degrees Celsius compared to yesterday.
As cold air moves down from the north starting tonight, morning temperatures are expected to plunge significantly tomorrow, requiring warm clothing.
Temperatures in most inland areas will drop sharply to the single digits, with Daegwallyeong at 3°C (37°F), Paju at 5°C (41°F), Seoul at 9°C (48°F), and Bonghwa at 7°C (45°F).
While these figures are not exceptionally low compared to average temperatures for this time of year, the sudden temperature shift may make the chill feel much more severe.
Skies nationwide will clear up tomorrow, accompanied by strong winds.
Tomorrow morning's lows are projected at 7°C (45°F) in Chuncheon and 11°C (52°F) in Daejeon, while the daytime high in Daegu is expected to reach 20°C (68°F), calling for caution regarding large temperature swings.
Temperatures are expected to rise later in the week, and rain is forecast nationwide on Sunday.
