▲ Domestic Wheat Consumption Campaign for Pregnant Women
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on October 13 that it will run a domestic wheat consumption campaign until the 31st for pregnant women participating in the eco-friendly agricultural product box program for expectant mothers.
This campaign was organized following the inclusion of domestically produced wheat processed products as mandatory sales items in the eco-friendly agricultural product box program for expectant mothers starting this year.
Pregnant women wishing to participate can purchase domestic wheat products through the eco-friendly agricultural product integrated shopping mall or general online and offline stores, and then submit their receipts and reviews.
There is no purchase amount limit, and participation is open for any products made with domestic wheat as an ingredient, such as flour, pancake mix, and bread.
Applications can be submitted via the QR code located in the event menu within the eco-friendly agricultural product integrated shopping mall.
The ministry plans to select 600 applicants next month and present each with a domestic wheat product box worth 70,000 won.
In addition, 10 outstanding purchase reviews will be selected to receive gift certificates worth 100,000 won each.
Jeong Hye-ryeon, Director General for Food Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, "Domestic wheat products have faced difficulties in expanding consumption due to a lack of awareness," adding, "We hope this campaign serves as an opportunity to introduce domestic wheat products to pregnant women and infants, and to expand consumption within households."
