Actor Don Lee has made a special appearance in the movie "Street Fighter," which is based on the globally popular fighting game series.
"Street Fighter" is an action-entertainment film set in 1993, where lifelong rivals Ryu and Ken Masters—brought back to the fighting arena at Chun-Li's suggestion—face the reality of a massive conspiracy hidden within a life-or-death battle royale.
The film features a special appearance by Don Lee, who has built a global footprint bridging domestic and international stages through the "The Roundup" series and his Hollywood debut in "Eternals," adding a welcome surprise for fans.
In the movie "Street Fighter," Don Lee voices Gouken, the mentor to Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo). Along with this, a special greeting video featuring Don Lee directly addressing Korean audiences has been released, drawing even more attention to his special appearance.
Gouken (Don Lee) is the master who taught martial arts to Ryu and Ken, who have trained together since childhood, and is a character deeply intertwined with the two men's long history. Gouken appears in animated sequences that depict the past narratives of Ryu and Ken. As someone who shared in the past of Ryu and Ken—who grew as close as brothers while training under the same master—he is expected to play a crucial role in deepening the audience's understanding of their relationship.
"Street Fighter" is scheduled to hit theaters on October 14.
