Actor and director Lee You-jin (34) is set to tie the knot with actor Cha Kyung-eun (real name Kim Kyung-eun, 28) this November.
On October 6, Lee You-jin's representatives announced in an official statement, "Lee You-jin will hold a wedding ceremony with actor Cha Kyung-eun at a location in Seoul on November 14." The couple's wedding will be held privately, attended only by family members, relatives, and close friends.
Their connection began through the ENA short-form drama "If You See a Way, Cast!" (literal title), which marked Lee You-jin's directorial debut. Having fallen in love with Cha Kyung-eun at first sight during pre-production, Lee openly shared his sincere feelings and actively pursued her after filming wrapped. Cha reciprocated, and the two have been dating with marriage in mind since June.
Confident in their bond, the couple shared their intentions with both families shortly after they began dating and received their blessing, leading quickly to marriage thanks to their bold decision and determination.
Lee You-jin made his debut in the 2013 MBC drama "Goddess of Fire" and has since showcased his talent across various projects, including "Hello, My Twenties! 2", "Familiar Wife", "Be Melodramatic", "Do You Like Brahms?", and "Three Bold Siblings". In May of this year, he finished in second place on ENA's "Director's Arena", proving his capability as a director while also celebrating the joy of meeting his life partner. Lee is also widely recognized as the son of veteran actor Lee Hyo-jung and the nephew of actor Lee Ki-young.
The bride-to-be, Cha Kyung-eun, debuted in the 2021 short film "Peach" and went on to appear in the web drama "PickGo", U+ Mobile TV's "Mirae's Future", and the sketch comedy channel "Shortbox". She gained wider public recognition as a regular cast member on Coupang Play's "SNL Korea Reboot Season 7".
Following their marriage, the two plan to continue their active careers in their respective fields as actors and creators.
