Police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 40s who wielded a weapon to threaten passersby and attempted to break into a cafe near the Han River Park, which was crowded on the last day of the Chuseok holiday.
The Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station announced today (the 28th) that they requested an arrest warrant for A on charges of carrying a weapon in a public place.
A is accused of threatening passersby with a weapon near the Yanghwa Hangang Park in Yeongdeungpo-gu at around 3:45 p.m. the previous day.

A attempted to enter the cafe while holding the weapon, but the cafe owner locked the doors and windows and immediately reported the incident to the police, preventing any casualties.
