17-year-old Kang Jun has won South Korea's first-ever gold medal in the men's street skateboarding event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.

After scoring 88.45 points in his run, Kang fell into a crisis by failing both his first and second trick attempts consecutively, but he dramatically rose to the top by securing a high score of 92.40 points in his final third attempt.

The "skateboard prodigy" who appeared on SBS's "Finding Genius" in 2019 has stood at the top of Asia seven years later.
