The South Korean women's handball national team continued its smooth sailing toward reclaiming the Asian Games throne for the first time in 8 years.
Led by head coach Lee Gye-chung, the national team cruised to a 43-13 (22-8, 21-5) landslide victory, winning by a 30-goal margin against Uzbekistan in their third preliminary match of the tournament held today (the 23rd) at the Kasugai City Gymnasium in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
With their third consecutive win, South Korea is now tied with Japan, competing neck-and-neck for the championship.
Lee Won-jeong (Daegu Metropolitan City Hall), along with Lee Yeon-kyung and Jeon Ji-yeon (both of Samcheok City Hall), combined for 14 goals based on a 100% scoring success rate.
