Recently, a letter of apology was posted in a lecture hall at Yonsei University College of Dentistry.
It is reported to have included phrases such as, "Having forgotten my duties and regulations as a dental student, I came to school wearing shorts."
Previously, an announcement titled "Appropriate Student Attire for Dental School Life" was posted on the undergraduate website of the Yonsei University College of Dentistry.
The notice stated, "We encourage Yonsei University dental students, who are growing into competent, trusted, and proud dentists, to dress like dental students," adding instructions that "short skirts, shorts, and slippers are not to be worn."

In response, the university stated, "This was an educational measure regarding the mindset required as prospective medical professionals," while also adding, "We are open to discussing potential improvements to the dress code for non-clinical settings with students moving forward."
