Jacob Bridgeman of the United States, gearing up for the upcoming Presidents Cup, warmed up with a victory on the PGA Tour.
Bridgeman fired a 10-under 61 featuring one eagle and eight birdies in the fourth and final round of the Biltmore Championship (total purse of $5 million) held today (September 21, KST) at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove (par 71) in Asheville, North Carolina.
Starting the day tied for fifth and five strokes behind the leader, Bridgeman completed a come-from-behind victory with a total of 26-under 258.
Having claimed his first PGA Tour win at the Genesis Invitational last April, Bridgeman secured his second victory of the season along with a winner's check of $900,000 (approx. 1.25 billion won).
Bridgeman will compete as a member of the U.S. team at the Presidents Cup, a golf competition against the International team, which is set to open on September 24 local time.
Jackson Koivun, a fellow U.S. team member alongside Bridgeman, tied for fifth place at 21-under 263.
From the International team, Corey Conners of Canada finished in a tie for 43rd at 12-under 272, and Nick Taylor of Canada tied for 57th at 10-under 274.
