A man has been arrested by police after causing a disturbance on a rooftop, demanding that his former lover be brought to him.

The Incheon Michuhol Police Station announced today (September 20) that it has booked and is investigating a man in his 30s, referred to as A, on charges including violations of the Narcotics Control Act, after he caused a disturbance while suspected of drug use.

At around 10:00 PM on September 18, A created a disturbance on the rooftop of a multi-family housing unit in Juan-dong, Michuhol-gu, Incheon, shouting for his ex-girlfriend to be called out.

Police officers dispatched to the scene following a report successfully persuaded A and brought him safely down to the ground.

However, it was reported that while moving to a police box with the officers, A was caught attempting to secretly discard a syringe.

Believing it highly likely that A administered drugs using the syringe, the police booked him under the Narcotics Control Act.

Police plan to conduct a drug test on A to confirm whether he used narcotics, while also investigating additional potential charges, such as whether he stalked his former girlfriend.

A police official stated, "Considering A's condition at the time and public safety, we took emergency hospitalization measures," adding, "We plan to summon A soon to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident."
