Groups including BTS and BLACKPINK have received additional nominations at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs), a major U.S. music awards ceremony.
According to the official MTV VMA website on the 18th local time, BTS, BLACKPINK, CORTIS, and KATSEYE were named as nominees in the newly announced Best Group category.
In addition, in the Song of Summer category, KATSEYE's "HOOTIE FRUTTI" and BLACKPINK member JENNIE's collaboration with Tame Impala, "DRACULA," were nominated.
With this, BTS has been nominated in a total of three categories: Song of the Year, Best K-Pop, and Best Group.
BTS previously won the Best Group award for four consecutive years from 2019 to 2022.
CORTIS and KATSEYE have also been nominated across three categories.
The MTV VMAs will take place on the 27th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, USA.
