[Anchor] Did you know that a neighborhood in South Korea has been ranked as the coolest neighborhood in the world?
[Reporter] Jongno 3-ga in Seoul has claimed the No. 1 spot in the "2026 World's Coolest Neighborhoods" list selected by a British travel and city publication.
The publication selected 40 locations worldwide based on criteria including food, drinks, nightlife, independent shops, and community spirit.
It particularly high-praised the "revival of nightlife" in Jongno 3-ga.
It noted that after work hours, young people flock to the street pocha (tent poachas) area, while Seosunra-gil next to Jongmyo Shrine has seen craft studios, jewelry workshops, and bars move in, creating a fresh atmosphere.
The publication evaluated that Jongno 3-ga is adapting to a new generation while preserving its traditional charm.
Following Jongno 3-ga, the L'Océan district in Rabat, Morocco, and Neos Kosmos in Athens, Greece, ranked second and third, respectively.
