Lady Gaga Spotted Holding Newborn, Foreign Media Reports She Became a Mother

Pop star Lady Gaga, 40, has welcomed her first child, according to a flurry of foreign media reports.

Overseas media outlet Page Six reported on the 11th (local time) that Lady Gaga recently gave birth to her first child with her fiancé, businessman Michael Polansky, 42. Photos of the two walking with a newborn in northern California were released alongside the report. Following this, multiple outlets including People and Rolling Stone reported that they confirmed the news of the birth by citing sources.

According to the reports, Gaga was seen walking with Polansky while carrying the baby in a baby carrier, wearing a black jacket and patterned pants. However, the child's name, gender, and exact birth date have not been disclosed, and neither of them has released an official statement yet.

Gaga has kept her public appearances to an absolute minimum for several months after finishing her world tour "Mayhem Ball" in April. Because she did not reveal her pregnancy at all during this period, the sudden news of the birth has also sparked speculation on overseas social media about whether they had the child through a surrogate.

Gaga and Polansky have been in a relationship since 2019, and made their engagement official at the 2024 Paris Olympics when Gaga introduced Polansky as her fiancé. Polansky is a Harvard-educated venture capitalist and tech entrepreneur who is known to currently run a cancer immunotherapy research institute.

Previously, Gaga has expressed her desire to become a mother in several interviews.

In an interview with The New York Times in March of last year, Gaga said, "I'm so excited to be a mom. I don't want to force a life on children that I didn't choose. I want to create as much space as possible for them to discover themselves." In October of the same year on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," she also mentioned, "All I really want is to be a mother," adding, "I hope that's my next starring role."
