San Francisco Giants starting outfielder Lee Jung-hoo, 28, recorded a hit a day after going hitless in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Lee went 1-for-4 in a home game against the San Diego Padres held at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California, on September 13 (local time).
His season batting average stayed at 0.279 (143 hits in 513 at-bats).
Playing as the sixth-batter and right fielder, Lee struck out swinging in his first plate appearance in the bottom of the second inning and flied out to left field in the fourth.
With San Francisco trailing 7-3 in the bottom of the seventh with two outs, he hit a single up the middle, but subsequent hits failed to follow.
In his final plate appearance in the bottom of the ninth, he was retired on a flyout to center field.
Song Sung-mun, 30, of the San Diego Padres entered the game late as a defensive replacement and went hitless in one at-bat.
Entering the game as a second baseman in place of Dustin Harris during the defensive shift in the bottom of the seventh, Song stepped up to the plate with two outs and runners on second and third in the top of the ninth, but struck out swinging.
His season batting average dropped to 0.189 (23 hits in 122 at-bats).
With a 7-6 victory, San Diego extended its winning streak to six games, while San Francisco suffered its second consecutive loss.
San Diego, second in the National League (NL) West, moved up to third in the wild-card standings, boosting its chances of advancing to the postseason.
