The suspect in the murder of a woman in her 60s inside a frozen warehouse at a cafe in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, will be handed over to the prosecution in custody the day after tomorrow (the 14th). Key questions, such as the motive for the murder and whether there were accomplices, remain unresolved.

A man encounters detectives and is soon led away in handcuffs, put into a van.
This is the moment when a man in his 30s, surnamed Shin, was arrested on charges of causing the death of a woman in her 60s inside the frozen warehouse of a cafe he operated in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.
With just two days left until the police transfer Shin to the prosecution in custody, crucial aspects such as the motive and the involvement of accomplices remain shrouded in fog.
Police are leaning toward the possibility of a financially motivated, premeditated crime, noting that Shin, who carried over 1 billion won in debt, abruptly rented the frozen warehouse about a week before the crime, and that counterfeit department store gift certificates with a face value of 50 billion won were found inside the warehouse.
However, reports indicate that police are facing difficulties in proving intent to commit murder because Shin has lied or slightly changed his statements during the investigation.
Police are reportedly intensively questioning Shin on whether he originally planned the murder, based on findings such as him asking an AI a question to the effect of "What happens if someone is in a frozen warehouse?"
Whether there were additional accomplices has also reportedly not yet been clearly determined.
Police have booked a gift certificate broker, surnamed A, who connected Shin with the victim, on charges of counterfeiting securities.
This is because Broker A drove the victim from Seoul to Paju on the day of the crime and was also seen getting out of a vehicle together with Shin about five hours before Shin was arrested.
However, it is known that whether Broker A participated in the murder of the victim has not yet been confirmed.
Additionally, attention is focused on whether it will be revealed in two days whether a "third person" who was also in the vehicle besides Broker A prior to Shin's arrest is linked to this crime.
