Group BTS has successfully wrapped up their extensive North American tour, drawing approximately 1.92 million concertgoers.
BTS concluded the North American leg of their tour with the "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' IN LOS ANGELES" held at SoFi Stadium in California on September 1-2 and 5-6 (local time). All 31 shows across 12 regions were sold out early, drawing around 1.92 million fans in North America alone.
The final stop of the North American tour in Los Angeles drew about 282,000 spectators, setting a series of new records. The group previously held four shows at the same venue in 2021 for "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA." With this tour, they have performed a total of eight times, becoming the act with the most concerts held at SoFi Stadium. The cumulative attendance for the 8 shows is approximately 496,000. BTS also claimed the title of the group that has attracted the largest audience in the history of the stadium.
Notably, during the concert, Jungkook pulled out a card he had written himself. He shared his sincere feelings, saying, "Hello, I have something to say to you. ARMY, to me, you are perfect." It was a surprise event that even the other members did not know about, bringing pleasant emotion to the fans. This parodied the famous cardboard confession scene from the movie "Love Actually," which was more than enough to touch the fans' hearts.
Meanwhile, official city-level welcomes continued. The City of Los Angeles proclaimed September 1-8 as "BTS Week" and lit up City Hall in red, the key color of their new album "Arirang," on September 1. Toronto, Canada designated August 22-23, when the concert was held, as "BTS Weekend," temporarily renaming a section of Yonge Street to "BTS Boulevard." The State of Illinois in the U.S. designated the Chicago concert date as "BTS Day," while El Paso County in Texas declared the concert period as "El Paso BTS Weekend" and presented them with the "Estimado Amigo" citation. Maryland Governor Wes Moore posted a welcome video himself, and in Mexico, they received an official invitation from President Claudia Sheinbaum, marking nationwide welcomes as well.
Having completed their North American tour, BTS will continue the "BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'" in Bogota, Colombia, on October 2. They will travel through Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and Sao Paulo to meet local fans. Since Colombia, Peru, and Argentina are regions the group is visiting as a complete ensemble for the first time, an enthusiastic response is expected.
