Following the safe return of two Nepalese nationals the day before yesterday, South Korea's emergency relief team dramatically discovered and successfully rescued a Chinese survivor yesterday, raising expectations for additional rescues.
The spokesperson for the Nepalese Army expressed gratitude to the South Korean relief team in a phone call with SBS.

With heavy rain falling at the site, the search operations must be quite difficult. Are there any reports of additional rescues yet?

Yes, the site where the Chinese survivor was rescued yesterday is inside a tunnel at the Upper Trishuli dam construction site being built by a South Korean company.
The rescued Chinese individual testified that there could be more survivors inside the tunnel. An intensive additional search was conducted here today, but no survivors were found.
[Lee Gyu-ho / Head of South Korean Emergency Relief Team: To look for any potential survivors, we went deeper inside. Ten personnel went up to conduct a search, but no survivors were found, and we came out with one body recovered yesterday.]
The relief team plans to continue the search for missing South Koreans without giving up, deploying a drone search team around the dam's powerhouse as well.
Meanwhile, it is reported that two people died after a landslide and floods occurred today at a dam construction site in the Kaski region, located 100 kilometers west of the major flood-affected area.
