The Seoul World Fireworks Festival will be held this evening, September 5, around the Hangang Park area in Yeouido. As a large-scale event attracting more than 1 million visitors annually, traffic controls will be implemented in the surrounding areas starting this afternoon.

Ahead of the World Fireworks Festival, vehicular traffic on Yeouidong-ro from the southern end of Mapo Bridge to the 63 Building will be fully restricted starting at 3:00 PM and lasting until midnight today.
Traffic on both directions of Wonhyo Bridge, which is currently restricted due to event preparation, will resume starting at 3:00 AM tomorrow.
Trains will pass through Yeouinaru Station without stopping for three hours from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency will deploy police personnel in full force around the festival venue and dispatch a police special assault team to conduct searches in preparation for any bomb threats.
Should a bomb threat report be filed, authorities plan to assess the level of risk, evacuate spectators to a safe location, conduct safety inspections, and control the site.

Patrol cars and motorcycles will be stationed to prevent vehicles from stopping on roads or bridges to watch the festival.
Crackdowns will also be conducted against scalping and illegal charges for reserved spots.
Under the theme "Find Your Light," this year's event will feature national representative teams from three countries, including Hanwha, the United States, and the United Kingdom, presenting a spectacular fireworks show against the night sky.
