A Chinese university lecturer in his 30s, identified as Jeong Chang-sung, who is accused of murdering a Chinese student who had taken his class and abandoning her body in locations including Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, and Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, was transferred to prosecutors in custody today (the 4th).
According to police investigations, the crime was committed because Jeong feared losing his job after the victim, with whom he was in a romantic relationship, threatened to reveal their relationship to the university during an argument.
It was confirmed that a psychopath checklist test conducted on Jeong by the police yielded results indicating that he did not meet the criteria for classification.
Police stated, "We plan to continue searching for the victim's body even after the transfer to the prosecution."
